Excursus was founded on a simple conviction: the South of France is the most beautiful region in the country — and most people only ever scratch its surface. We exist to change that.
The Story.
I left university at 22 with no business plan template, no investor deck and no safety net —just a clear idea of what I wanted to build and a region I knew better than anywhere else in the world.
I grew up in the world of events. Not as a guest, but on the inside: watching what it takes to make a moment feel effortless. I saw early on that the difference between a good experience and an unforgettable one is almost never the budget. It's the people behind it. The contacts. The judgment. The care taken in the details nobody notices until they're missing.
Provence and the French Riviera gave me that education. This is where I was raised, where I built my network, and where I decided to build something ambitious: not despite the region's reputation for luxury, but because of it. If you're going to do this, do it where the standard is the highest.
Excursus started with a handful of clients and a phone that was always on. It's still the same phone. The scale has changed. The approach hasn't.

If a restaurant isn't worth your evening, we'll say so. If a villa doesn't match what you described, we won't show it to you. We'd rather lose a booking than your confidence.

We live here. Our network is built on years of real relationships — chefs, hoteliers, winemakers, estate agents — not a directory we bought access to.

One hour to acknowledge any request. Always. Whether it's a dinner reservation three weeks out or a helicopter at 6am tomorrow.
